Flooding Tips and Help

ESCAPE OF WATER/CLEAN WATER DAMAGE

Do

  • Turn off water and try to prevent any further damage.

  • Mop up as much water as possible. Use a wet/dry vacuum if possible.

  • If it is dry outside, open windows and ventilate room as much as possible.

  • Be aware and careful of slippery surfaces etc.

  • If you have a fan or other source, blow cold air through the room (unless mould/mildew is evident, in which case no method of air circulation should be used). Ensure windows are open before using a fan. Caution - do not use an electric fan or any other equipment on a wet floor.

Do Not

  • Enter a room where standing water is evident if the sockets are submerged.
